Villa Aglaia, rental villa near Gennadi, Rhodes.

  • You really can have it all, at least our family of 4 realized this during our stay at Villa Aglaia. Luxury living conditions, spectacular views of ocean and mountains, all in a setting that allows for rest and relaxation. The quaint little neighborhood grocery, bakery, and produce store were perfect for our needs. A scenic short drive connected us to historical sites to explore. Our family had a memorable time and will definitely recommend this villa to our friends. Our expectations were pleasantly exceeded.

We did have a very warm welcome at Villa Aglaia, with a bottle of wine, juice, a lunch and some snacks to eat. That was nice after a long journey from the Netherlands. We had a wonderful week. The house is comfortable and cozy. The view is beautiful, at the sea and the hills. And the kids enjoyed themselves very well in the pool. The village is pleasant, with the bakery and supermarket nearby. We had dinner a several times in the local restaurants. What a friendly people do live here.
    Highly recommended!

  • Villa Aglaia is situated just outside Gennadi, a small village on the south of Rhodes. Only a few minutes walk to the supermarket and bakery but still the countryside dominates the impression around the house. Its impossible to imagine a better way to enjoy Greece! The view from the terrace is extraordinary and the house functions just perfectly! Gennadi Beach is great for relaxing adults and Crystal Beach only 12 minutes away has the sand for children to play with.
A stroll down to the bakery in the morning with the rising sun over the sea is a perfect way to meet the day. After a day on the beach or exploring Lindos a few miles away, the terrace is the place to relax in the afternoon sun. The pool have the right size to play with children without losing control and everything happens with full control from the kitchen.
In the evening you can fire up the barbecue or go down to a good restaurant in the village.
A perfect house for the perfect vacation!

  • We found the villa very well equipped and comfortable for our stay with plenty of storage space and entertainment although we were out most evenings! It was lovely to have breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine with the views and watch the foraging goats! We found the local taverna owners very friendly and would also recommend the floating restaurant in Rhodes Harbour and the Melones Hotel restaurant in Lindos for a special romantic (if rather expensive) meal under the Acropolis.

  • The villa is in a perfect location both in the villa complex and in the town - so close to the ocean with beautiful views. The restaurants, stores and the internet bar were wonderful and only a few steps away. I truly hated to leave the villa and hope to return in the future. The welcoming package was very generous and thoughtful. We enjoyed all the varied food types and beverage choices (a big thank you from me for the white wine and a big thank you from my girls for the juice and milk). The villa is beautifully appointed and supplied. It is extremely clean and well maintained. The rooms are very spacious and it was a real treat to have more than enough closet space. The pool came in very handy and was the site of many hours of fun every day. I highly recommend Villa Aglaia. There were four of us but the villa could easily have accommodated more. The rent was extremely reasonable. We felt we received much more than we paid for. The beach is stunning in its colours and we collected beautiful pebbles in between swimming in the warm waters. Many nearby attractions to drive to. Thank you so much for sharing your villa with us.

  • We are just home from an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Aglaia in Gennadi. A picturesque location with idyllic views of the mountains and ocean. One week of relaxing in the hot sunshine by the pool really wasn’t enough, I would like to turn around and go back immediately.
Gennadi is a lovely Greek village with all that you need to have a peaceful holiday with everything at your doorstep but it has not lost its charm by being over populated with tourists.
One of our favourite days was hiring a quad bike in the village and touring around the tracks that lead up the mountains and to some secluded beaches.
Eating out was always a pleasure with lots of great restaurants to choose from and when we were eating at home the well stocked village shop, bakery and grocers had everything we needed (and more!).
All in all, a completely enjoyable holiday that we wish didn’t have to end. We will definitely be back to Villa Aglaia.
